Synopsis

Brain Battle Q is a quiz that offers real prizes. The game allows the player to participate in the "Sega Saturn Invitational" quiz competition, playing multiple rounds of a multiple-choice quiz against computer opponents. At the final, the player is ranked based on their accuracy and speed, and given a password to send on a postcard included with the game to record their score with the publisher.

The top five players each month through April 1997 received an award. In addition to the main competition mode, there is also a free quiz battle mode for one or two players. The player can select the types of quiz questions they want to see, as well as the difficulty level. There is also an in-game catalog for the Japanese department store Seibu, with whom the game was produced in collaboration and which features several of their real-life products in 1996.
