Synopsis

One of several adaptations of the 1992 film version of the classic vampire tale, the Amiga version is a side-scrolling action game.
nnThe player controls Jonathan Harker, who, in his quest to destroy the Transylvanian vampire, must make his way through nine levels, starting at a tavern near Dracula's castle and then the castle itself. Back in England, Dracula and his minions must be chased out of a convent, an abbey and the house of Mina, Jonathan's fiancée, among other places. A main task in each level is to find and destroy several coffins from the land of Transylvania. Jonathan's minions, as well as the creatures controlled by the vampire (bats, rats, snakes, etc.), stand in his way. The final coffin in each location is usually guarded by one of Dracula's most powerful minions, including his three fiancées, the mad Renfield, and Mina's friend Lucy, who has become undead.
nnTo defeat enemies, Jonathan uses punches and kicks. Lost health can be regained by finding potions; Extra lives are also available. In addition, Dr. Van Helsing left some holy crosses lying around which, when picked up, allow for a powerful holy attack from a distance, but which only lasts a short time. Stairs and doors connect the different parts of the levels. To open the doors, you must first find keys.
