Synopsis

*Bubble Bobble* is a platform game where each level fits on a single screen. To move on to the next level, you must eliminate all enemies.

One player controls Bub and the other Bob. Characters can jump and collect items to score points, such as fruit. Their true power is to blow bubbles, which serve as platforms or to trap enemies. Trapped enemies must be burst by jumping on them, then turning into fruit.

Bonuses sometimes appear in bubbles:

* **Lightning**: attacks enemies horizontally.
* **Water**: Slides the player and enemies downward, crossing platforms.

If a level takes too long, **Baron Von Blubba** appears and attempts to capture the player.
