Synopsis

The story of Call of Duty: Black Ops III takes place in 2065 in a dark future, in which a new type of soldier, "Black Ops", is born. The boundaries between humanity and the technology it has created are then increasingly blurred1,3.

After the drone attacks orchestrated by Raul Menendez in Black Ops II, different countries implemented an anti-drone system called Directed Energy Air Defense (or D.E.A.D.). The various conflicts then take place on the ground. Several organizations were created such as the Winslow Accord which allowed the establishment of the D.E.A.D system. (an organization similar to NATO), or the Common Defense Pact, a imitation Warsaw Pact, made up of, among others, Russia and the European Union4. These two factions are competing for the energy and natural resources of the planet which is experiencing significant global warming, as evidenced by the agitated biotope of the Singapore mission against the 54 immortals1. Several other factions are also present, such as the 54 Immortals, a Singapore crime syndicate, or the Nile River Coalition located in Africa whose goal is to control the flow of the Nile5.
