Synopsis

Captain Power and the Soldiers of the Future transports the player to 2147, in a post-apocalyptic world where the evil Lord Dread reigns supreme on Earth. A small group of high-tech soldiers, led by Captain Power, fight against him and his Bio-Dread minions. However, the storyline has little influence on the gameplay. The game begins with two space shooter sequences. The first, a training mission, involves destroying three Dread drones on a firing range, from a cockpit view. The second, “Volcania Attack”, is a 2D side-scrolling platform game where the player eliminates approaching enemy ships. Once enough enemies have been destroyed, the enemy base can be bombarded. These shooting and bombardment sequences are repeated until the fortress shields are destroyed.
