Synopsis

Catalypse is a side-scrolling shoot'em up where you pilot your ship against the alien civilization CLIO across five expansive levels, including a moon base, an alien forest, dark caverns and an ancient city. The levels are full of small enemies, fixed or mobile. You will also encounter more imposing creatures in the middle of the level, without forgetting the guardians at the end of the level. These include giant creatures taking up the entire screen, robots and spaceships. Along the way, you can collect cumulative weapon bonuses hidden in capsules. You'll have access to forward slant shots, a backward slash shot, a slant bouncing laser, a powerful frontal laser, and up to two indestructible hovering satellites. The game is notably distinguished by pre-recorded voices in the introduction and a long animated ending sequence.
