Synopsis

The PC Engine has numerous wrestling simulations in its game library and among them, we find a game published by Taito: Champion Wrestler. Very similar to Pro Wrestling on NES, this game presents you with 8 wrestlers that you would not like to meet in the evening on a street corner. You can play alone against the machine, but you can bring together a few friends for 2- or 4-player matches.

Once in the ring, the goal is of course to land every possible blow on your opponent. Depending on the position of the wrestlers, the buttons trigger this or that hold. When they are face to face, we will limit ourselves to kicks and punches, but each champion also has a specific, quite devastating move.
