Synopsis

Chatterbee is an educational spelling game. It uses the SAM (Software Automatic Mouth) voice synthesizer to read words and sentences. The program reads a word, then defines it in a sentence before repeating it. The player simply has to enter the word; the synthesizer repeats it as the letters appear on the screen. Correct spelling earns points, and in case of an error, the player is entitled to two additional attempts. The game consists of ten rounds, each containing five or ten words. There are 25 levels, and the player can start at any level. If the player succeeds, the level automatically increases.
