Synopsis

Chernobyl: Nuclear Power Plant Simulation is a simulation where the player takes control of a nuclear power plant. Although the title refers to the 1986 disaster, it has no impact on gameplay. Players analyze data, navigate menus, and enter commands via a parser, such as disabling generators or closing exhaust valves, to influence system behavior. The goal is to maintain stable electricity production and follow emergency procedures outlined in the manual in the event of a problem. Interestingly, the game was originally going to be called “Nuclear Power Plant Simulation,” but COSMI insisted on calling it “Chernobyl,” despite creator Paul Norman's misgivings about the title.
