Synopsis

Choujikuu Yousai Macross: Ai Oboete Imasu ka is a horizontal shoot'em up for Sega Saturn released in Japan in 1997 and linked to the Macross franchise. It is based on the 1984 animated film of the same name, literally translated as Macross: Do You Remember Love?, which itself was a retelling of the television show Choujikuu Yousai Macross.
The game is a recreation of the film in the form of a side-scrolling shooter, with animation from the film and additional computer-generated cutscenes unique to this game. You can shoot enemies in the foreground and, lock on and launch missiles at those in the background or near the foreground, meaning it also has pseudo-3D gameplay elements.
