Classic Adventure
Synopsis
Classic Adventure, originally released as Adventure 1 by Abersoft in 1982 on ZX Spectrum, was later renamed Classic Adventure and published by Melbourne House on many platforms. This game is very faithful to the original and begins with the classic cutscene: “You find yourself at the end of a road, in front of a small brick building. A forest surrounds you. A stream flows from the building and down a ravine.” The player can then enter the building and explore the cave system, said to be inspired by the Mammoth Cave complex in Kentucky. In these caves hide unsavory characters, magical objects and treasures to collect and bring back to the well. True to the original game, this version supports magic words such as "Xyzy" and "Plurgh", which allow you to teleport between certain rooms. The game counts a score which increases as the treasures are brought back to the well.
