Synopsis

Color Zap is a variation of the arcade game Space Zap. This is a shoot em' up where the player must protect a stargate located in the center of the screen. The Stargate is stationary, so controls are limited to aiming and shooting the aliens that appear on all four sides of the screen. When the alien ships appear, they launch photon torpedoes which the player must shoot down before reaching the Stargate. The Stargate is equipped with three shields and one is lost with each hit. Every 10,000 points, an additional shield is awarded and the skill level increases by two. After a wave of attacks, a Death Satellite will begin circling the Stargate and the player must shoot it down before it attacks. Firing the gun will heat it up, which could result in a meltdown.
