Synopsis

Conan is therefore a role-playing game which has the particularity of being presented in a top view. The choice was not necessarily the happiest when 3D was making its appearance. However, its technical achievement is well above the competitors of the time. If the graphics have necessarily aged, they remain no less honorable today. We will note the presence of a very pleasant and immersive introductory cutscene but which unfortunately is more faithful to the B series spirit of Conan than to the original work: it is the atmosphere of a lightly clad young woman with big arms like the films.
The process is classic today but it was much less so at the time: we control Conan who wanders around as we please to find his kidnapped beauty. You can search everywhere but you will have to go through the obligatory quests told by textual scenes. The whole thing is quite dynamic and prolongs the feeling of immersion given by the introduction. The ability to talk to NPCs is well received: progression is therefore easy.
