Synopsis

Confuzion is a puzzle game developed and published by Incentive Software. The goal is to guide a spark along a fuse. It is similar to the 1982 arcade game Loco-Motion. Confuzion was written by Paul Shirley, who also wrote Spindizzy. The cassette that came with the game also contained an audio track titled “Confusion,” composed by the band Private Property (lyrics by Matt Smith, music by Joanne Holt and Steve Salt) and performed by Joanne Holt, Matt Smith, Steve Sel, Chris Weller, and Gary Seaward. Rob Hubbard adapted the original track for the game’s soundtrack. The band persuaded Incentive Software to switch their audio cassette duplication process from mono to stereo so that the music could be better appreciated (mono was sufficient for computer program data distributed on cassettes in the 1980s).
