Synopsis

The story takes place seven years before the Final Fantasy VII storyline? The world is then under the influence of the Shinra Company which holds all Mako energy resources and exercises unprecedented military authority. His army is, among other things, made up of unparalleled fighters with exceptional abilities gathered under the supervision of the SOLDIER. The first classes, elite SOLDIERs, are icons of Shinra that the crowds respect and admire.

The plot really begins when Zack, a young second class of SOLDIER accompanied by his mentor Angeal and the famous first class Sephiroth are deployed to Wutai in order to end the war in this already scarred region and, at the same time, investigate the mysterious disappearances of many members of SOLDIER who were under the orders of first class Génésis. But no one still suspects that this mission will mark a decisive turning point in Zack's tragic destiny?
