Synopsis

In Crossbow, you and several friends attempt to cross numerous treacherous landscapes in order to recover stolen treasures from the Master of Evil's castle. Not everyone in your party is armed, but you carry a crossbow. Using it, you must shoot obstacles or hostile enemies that might hinder your friends as they cross the screen. You see the landscape from a first-person perspective, and one by one each member of the party will walk from left to right on the screen. There are many different landscapes that must be traversed, each with their own variety of dangers. There are deserts with scorpions, ice caverns, jungles with hostile monkeys, a volcano spewing lava, and even the heavily guarded castle. The game starts with two friends in your party, with other friends joining after you clear certain parts of the game. The game ends when everyone in your party has been killed.
