Synopsis

The game offers players the choice of seven vehicles to compete in races on different circuits (inspired by real locations) across the United States. Various options are available before the game begins, including the choice between automatic or manual transmission, different controller configurations, as well as the selection of background music.

Players take control of the vehicle from a third-person perspective and, while avoiding various hazards along the way, must beat the clock as well as their computer-controlled rivals to claim first place.

With fourteen tracks to choose from, Cruis'n USA takes players on a tour of the continent's most famous and notorious roads and highways. Suggested locations include: Golden Gate Park, Redwood Forest, Beverly Hills and the Grand Canyon.
