Synopsis

Crypt of the NecroDancer is a roguelike dungeon crawler with a pixel art visual style and presented from an elevated, almost top-down view. Although it features classic elements such as exploration, collecting loot, and defeating enemies, the entire gameplay is based on the concept of a rhythm game.

By using the game's soundtrack or custom music, all actions become much more effective when they match the rhythm of the music. Basic controls consist of four keys or buttons for movements, but optionally a dance pad is also supported. These keys allow you to move the character and attack when he is next to a creature. Enemies also move and attack based on rhythm, and each of them has unique patterns that need to be identified.
