Synopsis

Virtual-On has the same concept as a fighting game. Two Virtuaroids (robots) face off in an arena. Players use various firearms, explosives, contact weapons, and other techniques to destroy the enemy in a number of rounds, usually in a single battle, or the best two rounds out of three, like a fighting game.

The game is made to be played with dual joysticks, which are each equipped with a trigger and a button at the top.
