Synopsis

D-Bug is an educational game for children that teaches them how to troubleshoot and repair computers.

D-Bug is a game-within-a-game where the player takes on the role of Charlie Fix-it, a character who lives in his computer and fixes bugs as they appear. At the start of each session, the player and computer compete in a game of “Trap!”

Sometimes the computer crashes and the side game starts. The player then controls a character who must diagnose and resolve the computer problem. It determines the crash based on why the game stops working.

If the graphics are corrupted, the player knows that the problem is with the graphics processor.

Many different errors can be diagnosed and fixed, and if the player successfully completes the repairs, they automatically advance to a more difficult level.
