Synopsis

In the middle of the 22nd century, World War III begins between the Allied Power and the Pact Power. Atomic weapons have long been abandoned, and neither side has been able to gain the upper hand. However, twenty years later, the Pact power built a deadly combat satellite on the Moon, aptly named "Disastrous". Fearing that the war will be lost if the satellite attacks their bases on Earth, the Allies send an Illieus fighter, piloted by the young Unebi Kagurazaka, to counter the threat.
nnD-Return is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up. The player controls a plane, moving in four directions, avoiding enemy fire and destroying enemies with the main weapon (Vulcan cannon or laser) and missiles, the quantity of which is limited.
