Synopsis

The Franco family was once one of the most influential houses in Portugal. Until the head of the family sets off on a disastrous journey in search of Prester John's kingdom. The chaos that followed put an end to the nobility of the Franco name. A hundred years have passed and Portugal has prospered thanks to its maritime and commercial empires. Young Leon Fanco wants to restore his family's reputation and make a name for himself as a sailor. At the heart of his ambition is the beautiful Christiana, coveted by the heir apparent to the kingdom. To this end, Leon worked hard to finance his first ship. The first step in his dream accomplished, Franco sets sail with his father's best friend as his mate, setting out in search of fame, adventure and fortune on the seas and in uncharted waters.
