Synopsis

Daikoukai Jidai Gaiden is a spin-off of Uncharted Waters: New Horizons, the player takes the role of a captain and manages a maritime fleet to engage in trade, plunder, treasure hunts, exploration and outright piracy. Even though the series is largely open-ended, there is always a plot that requires the player to follow certain paths, and deviating from these paths can block the story's progression.
Daikoukai Jidai Gaiden is a side story released in 1998 on Saturn after New Horizons. The game uses the same engine and focuses on the story of two characters, further developing the plot that ties the series together.
