Synopsis

Dallas is an oil exploration and exploitation board game in Texas. A map of Texas is shown dividing the region into hundreds of parcels each with potential for oil discovery. After conducting seismic surveys, you must make decisions about purchasing leases, movement and use of drilling rigs, and construction of platforms and pipelines. Can you conquer the Euing Empire, or will you be conquered in the attempt! This is a business simulation of the wealthy oil merchants who live in Dallas. The program will appeal to all members of the family. The program begins by drawing a map of Texas, dividing the region into hundreds of plots, each with the potential for oil discovery. You must conduct seismic surveys, bid for concessions, drill for oil, build production facilities, and lay pipelines. The game is menu-based and the player is able to direct their company along many diverse routes. The goal of the game is to accumulate $200 million in net assets and $80 million in cash in order to buy Euing Associates. There are three difficulty levels.
