Synopsis

Dallas is a board game about oil exploration and production in Texas. A map of Texas is displayed, dividing the region into hundreds of plots, each with the potential for an oil discovery. After conducting seismic surveys, you must make decisions about purchasing concessions, moving and using drilling rigs, and building platforms and pipelines. Can you conquer the Euing empire, or will you be conquered in the attempt! This is a business simulation featuring the wealthy oil tycoons of Dallas. The game will appeal to the whole family. The game begins with a map of Texas, dividing the region into hundreds of plots, each with the potential for an oil discovery. You must conduct seismic surveys, bid on concessions, drill for oil, build production facilities, and lay pipelines. The game is menu-driven, and the player can steer their company along many different paths. The goal of the game is to accumulate $200 million in net assets and $80 million in cash in order to acquire Euing Associates. There are three difficulty levels.
