Synopsis

Darius is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up unique at the time for its game screen three times wider than conventional size, with the arcade cabinet using three CRT screens to accommodate it.
In the game, the player pilots the Silver Hawk. The ship is equipped with two attack weapons: Missile (standard forward-firing cannon) and Bomb (dropped from the bottom of the ship). The Silver Hawk is also equipped with an "Arm"; a green energy shield that can absorb enemy attacks without harming the ship.
