Synopsis

Many millennia ago, the young and peaceful world of Darius was invaded by a race of stellar barbarians under the command of the galactic tyrant Belser. The peace-loving Dariusites were ill-prepared for such an invasion and most fell quickly. However, before the entire planet succumbed to Belser's domination, a brave young couple, Proco and Tiat, led a resistance effort and managed to escape with many of their fellow Dariusites to areas of space that were still free.

Over the centuries, the descendants of this resistance movement have multiplied, prospered and populated many worlds. On Orga, a world of uncommon resources, they established the command center of the Galactic Federation, a governing body that united all the peaceful worlds in the galaxy. After a thousand years, Belser's forces once again decided to expand their empire and headed into space to conquer the peoples who had escaped them centuries earlier. Expanding ever further outward, Belser took control of even more planets in the solar system.

Inspired by the legends of Proco and Tiat, two of the Federation's best pilots now prepare their starship for the long galactic battle that awaits them. These ships, advanced technological miracles called Silver Hawks, are capable of transforming energy into powerful weapons and armaments. Your mission is to pilot a Silver Hawk, defeat Belser's forces on each of the planets along the chosen route, reach Darius and destroy the fearsome Alloylantern, a mechanical fortress from which all of Belser's technological strength springs. The original world of Belser remains unknown, but leading scientists believe it was largely oceanic, as all of Belser's technology appears modeled after aquatic life forms.
