Synopsis
Darius Burst features some new elements to the series. This time you don't need to capture and sacrifice enemy units to use it and you can even absorb certain types of bullets with it. There are 3 Silverhawks: "Legend" (the Darius Gaiden ship) piloted by two terminals referenced as TI2 and two unlockables: "Next" (a next generation model) piloted by Riga Practica and "Origin", ship which is the original Silverhawk, pilot unknown.
There are 11 levels and 8 bosses in total. The game features a number of unlockable trials ("Mission Mode") and a "Burst" mode which challenges the player to complete the game with a single life.
