Synopsis
Gundam Wars is a game for Famicom that uses the Datach Joint ROM System accessory released only in Japan. Basically, this device reads barcodes from special cards that come with the game, with character/item data written on these cards. This is the only way to play the game, as you have to select a character or item by swiping its card. In addition to this interesting innovation, SD Gundam Wars is a kind of strategy / action game. Battles are automatic, so you don't control anything other than scanning your characters at the start and scanning items at the start of each round.
