Synopsis

After a meteorite landed on the Moon, a new form of life was discovered. Obviously, they are very mean, so you have to go and beat the shit out of them.
The gameplay is largely based on that of Super Star Soldier or Final Soldier, with four different weapons represented by four colors. Be careful to always take the same color otherwise you will start again with a new weapon with the lowest strength! Other options allow you to have modules that revolve around your ship or even missiles. In Dead Moon, no life bar, only when you get hit you lose options, shot power, etc. When you get hit with minimal fire, you lose a life. You then start again without any downtime where you had exploded a second earlier. It is only when using a continue that you necessarily have to start the level again.
