Synopsis

Dead to Rights is a third-person shooter in which the player takes on the role of Jack Slate, a Grant City police officer. During a routine intervention, he discovers his father's corpse. While trying to find the murderer, he is wrongly accused of another murder. Jack then becomes a fugitive; his flight from justice will take him to various locations, from strip clubs to hotels to office complexes, and even to prison, as an inmate.

While controlling Jack, players can perform various moves, such as grabbing an enemy from behind and using them as a human shield, or throwing a fire extinguisher and shooting it, causing a huge explosion. If Jack doesn't have a gun, he can disarm an enemy, allowing him to steal their gun and then perform a finishing move of sorts, like a punch to the back of the head. At first, only a few disarming moves are available, but more can be unlocked as the game progresses.
