Synopsis

Derby Day allows you and three other players to compete on the virtual racetrack and bet on the outcome of seven races organized by bookmaker Jolly Jack. Before the races start, you choose the type of odds: Fun (up to 15/1), Serious (up to 7/1) or Dead Serious (from 99/1 to 1/99). You can also choose to bet in pounds sterling or pence. In pence, a player can act as a bookmaker and collect bets from others. Each player starts with £100 and sees four horses appear, with their names and odds for the first race. Players take turns placing their bets, with the option to change a bad choice. The race takes place in side view with smooth scrolling and ends with a photo finish to decide between the players. The winner takes the entire stake, the second place a quarter. After the payouts, the horses of the next race appear and the game continues until only one player remains with the highest payouts.
