Synopsis

Devastators is a shooter game developed and published by Konami in 1988.
The player plays a mercenary tasked with defending a small, underdeveloped country to defend their land against a Middle Eastern dictator threatening to conquer it.
The game takes a third-person view, with forward scrolling manually controlled by holding the direction up.
The levels incorporate various decorative elements that can serve as protection, as well as an arsenal including machine guns, grenades and rocket launchers.
Missions take place in the jungle, desert or at sea, each ending with a boss, and the game offers a two-player cooperative mode.
