Synopsis

Like its predecessor, Diablo II is an action role-playing game. The player can choose from five character classes: the Amazon (a thief-type class with ranged attacks), the Necromancer (capable of summoning undead and inflicting status ailments), the Barbarian (a powerful melee fighter capable of dual-wielding weapons), the Sorceress (offensive spellcaster), and the Paladin (fighting with shields and able to cast support spells). Much of the game takes place in random, dungeon-like areas populated with enemies. Unlike the previous installment, the environments are not limited to a single dungeon and include locations with varied themes, each with their own city and quests.
