Synopsis

Shin Megami Tensei is a long series of role-playing games with an extremely mature atmosphere which originated on the Famicom with this first episode.

Based on a Japanese short story, the game features a young computer genius, Akemi Nakajima, who has managed to code a program that summons entire legions of demons. He therefore decides to leave with his friend Yumiko for the Tower of Daedalus in order to put an end to this threat. This plot is in reality only a pretext to attack a gigantic dungeon-RPG in subjective view very ahead of its time. Here it is possible to capture monsters so that they join your ranks and merge them to obtain more powerful ones, and their aggressiveness is determined according to the cycles of the moon.
