Synopsis

Donkey Kong Country 4 is a port of Donkey Kong Country on SNES.
The gameplay, graphics and sound are similar to Donkey Kong Country on the SNES, but reworked and downgraded for the Famicom. It is considered to be significantly superior to other pirate games based on the Donkey Kong Country series. The player controls Donkey Kong and Diddy through many levels. Unlike the original game where you go to the map every time you finish a level, in this game you only go to the map after the title screen and after defeating a boss. Besides that, the only map shown in the game is the world map.
The sprites are smaller than the original, probably due to the limitations of the Famicom. The “animal” friends are absent.
The saving function has been removed and replaced with a password system similar to Aladdin. Passwords are displayed every time the player gets "Game Over". However, because the player starts with 25 lives, it takes a while to reach this screen.
