Synopsis

Picking up immediately after the events of the original Doom, the only space marine known as Doomguy escapes the moons of Mars through a demonic portal, only to return home in a nightmare. The forces of Hell have descended on Earth, massacring billions and reducing the planet to a ruined battlefield. The scattered survivors of humanity have hatched a desperate plan: build a fleet of massive spaceships to ferry what remains of the human race off the planet to safety. But there is a catastrophic problem. Earth's only functioning land-based spaceport has been seized by demons, who have erected an impenetrable energy barrier that traps all ships on the surface. Alone against the horde, the marine must fight his way through the demon-infested city and paralyze the barrier, offering humanity its only small chance to escape this doomed world.
