Synopsis

After adapting the first Dragon's Lair into two different games, Readysoft continued with the sequel for arcade. Dirk the Bold is called back into action when his wife Daphne is kidnapped by the evil sorcerer Mordroc. Encouraged by Daphne's mother (and her rolling pin), Dirk escapes to Monkey's old castle, where he finds a time machine, which will take him to different eras and dimensions in search of his wife. Dragon's Lair II: Time Warp for the PC adapts parts of stages 1 (Daphne's mother's escape), 2 (prehistoric times), 4 (Garden of Eden), 7 (confrontation with Mordroc) and 8 (final escape) from the arcade game. The gameplay is close to the original - scenes unfold automatically and the player must press the right button at the right time (either while moving or using Dirk's sword) or die, but without the flashing messages present in the arcade game. All scenes from the original animated film are completely redrawn to accommodate the limitations of 16-bit machines.
