Description

One of the first games to use the laserdisc as a support, Dragon's Lair is an interactive cartoon whose production was partly done by Don Bluth, a former Disney animator, which gives the game a fluidity that is rarely equaled to this day!
Dirk, a brave knight, ventures into a castle guarded by an enormous dragon named Monkey to deliver a very pretty princess with the sweet name of Daphne. He will have to avoid all kinds of traps and fight against formidable enemies in order to find the beauty. The action phases take place in the vein of other laserdisc games, namely executing the right sequences at the right time such as swinging a sword, jumping over a ravine, etc. The humor that emerges from Dragon's Lair comes of course from the bizarre creatures that you will encounter throughout your journey, from your death staged in a horrifying manner but above all by its (anti)hero Dirk, a clumsy and cowardly character who will be able to take it upon himself to overcome the various obstacles that will block his path.
