Synopsis

Dragon Quest III: The Seeds of Salvation (Dragon Quest III: Soshite Densetsu e... in Japan and Dragon Warrior III in the US)
One day, a young man from the kingdom of Aliahan leaves to meet the king on the occasion of his sixteenth birthday. His father, Ortega, is considered the greatest hero of all time in Aliahan but he died fighting a strange monster near a volcano... Since then, the young man has been trying to become a hero like his father. During his meeting with the king, the young man learns that if Baramos is not defeated, the world will be doomed. Our hero therefore leaves to save the kingdom of Aliahan and avenge his father.
This episode concludes the first Dragon Warrior trilogy on Nintendo. The hero is none other than the ancestor of the heroes of the first two episodes, named Roto or Erdrick depending on the version and his descendants. This third part is therefore located upstream of the other two.
The game is famous in Japan for sparking riots upon its release. In fact, young Japanese preferred to skip classes rather than miss the release of the game. Following the chaos that this caused, Enix decided to only release its games on weekends, at the origin of an urban legend which claimed that the Japanese government had passed a law against Dragon Quest. It will sell 3.8 million copies.
