Driver's Eyes
Description
Driver's Eyes was a state-of-the-art Formula 1 simulator, which followed "Winning Run" (1988). One of its most advanced features for 1990 was the solid 3D polygons and improved sound (music composed by Hiroyuki Kawada, who also composed music for Air Combat, Winning Run, etc. Once the selections were made, the game showed a short animation of the engine going into the engine compartment and sliding down the body (changing the view to the cockpit) to reveal a sign indicating BRAKES ON. When the sign rose, the race began (in novice Grand Prix mode, we were on the starting grid). The game also offered a panoramic view thanks to a configuration with 3 monitors (controlled by 3 21 systems!) and finally, to complete the whole, the game also had an LCD screen in the player's cockpit, synchronized with the speedometer on the screen.
