Synopsis

Emoyan no 10-bai Pro Yakyuu ("Emoyan's Tenfold Pro Baseball") is a baseball simulation for the NES produced by Hect. It bears the name and likeness of former pitcher Takenori "Emoyan" Emoto, who by 1989 had already retired from baseball but continued to work as a sports commentator and author of books, before moving into politics in the 1990s. One of these books, titled "How To Make Watching Pro Baseball Ten Times More Fun", is the origin of the name of this game. Besides Emoyan, the game uses names of players and teams fictitious. The game has a more simulated feel than most baseball simulations for the Famicom, with players choosing a point on a grid to hit and pitch to, the idea being to predict the movement of the ball or the batter's chances of hitting it. Field work is carried out automatically.
