Synopsis

In Evil Crown, you manage a barony in medieval England in 1156. The game is divided into annual cycles, during which you must oversee your lands. The screen is divided into two parts: on the left, a map of your territories displays information about harvests and expansion possibilities; On the right, icons allow you to pay taxes and tolls, pay squire to the king and modify your army. An arcade sequence also invites you to participate in a jousting tournament. Using the joystick, you control your spear to hit your opponent. Depending on the outcome of the duel, a graphic sequence is displayed, showing either a battle or a peasant revolt. You then receive the harvest results before moving on to the next annual cycle.
