Synopsis

After defeating the Caliph, Sadler returns to his home village, greeted by his fellow assassins. A Crusader spy has been spotted outside the village, following his trail, Sadler meets the powerful leader of the Templars. Traveling together to different countries around the world, they attempt to find a mysterious sacred artifact that could end the religious wars.
The game takes place in a fictional version of the Middle East and other parts of the world in the 13th century. Travel and exploration are done in the traditional RPG overhead view, while combat and dungeons are side-scrolling mazes. Experience points are awarded by defeating enemies. Leveling up automatically increases Sadler's attributes. Sadler fights with a sword and can also cast offensive and restorative spells. Weapons, armor and items can be bought and sold in towns.
