Synopsis

Fantasy, developed by SNK and released in 1981 on Rock ⁇ Ola, is an action ⁇ adventure game, known to be the first to introduce a Continuous system, allowing the player to continue the story rather than aiming for scoring.
The title consists of ten narrative paintings, a record for the time, retracing Tom's quest to save Sherry, kidnapped in turn by pirates, a raptor, an Aboriginal and then a helicopter.
Each scene features a different mechanics: hot air ballooning, fighting on a boat, dodging enemies, climbing a giant tree, chasing a tiger or fleeing to Tower Bridge.
This narrative approach will permanently mark the evolution of the “Continue” in arcade games.
