Synopsis

FAST is a two-player, overhead racing game set in space. It resembles a standard side-scrolling shooter, but the task here isn't to blast everything out of the sky; you've got to beat your opponent to the finish line without dying. You die by colliding with buildings, other craft or getting slammed by your opponent. Minor collisions cause your vehicle to spin out while your enemy flies off into the distance. If you die completely, you must suffer watching your opponent try to finish the track themselves.

Other features include optional random course selection, the ability to turn out the lights and race at night, and the ability to toggle the road signs that warn you to slow down if there's a tricky bit to navigate ahead. Crashing results in the computer flashing up "dummy" or "dead" on a banner.
