Synopsis

The Shinra corporation, a company so powerful that it rules the world all by itself, has been exploiting Mako energy for several years, the force that constitutes the planet. But an environmental group called AVALANCHE wants to raise awareness about a problem: Mako energy is essential to the survival of the planet. When Shinra has exploited all of Mako, the planet will die and drag everyone into darkness. It is through attacks in the Mako reactors of the megacity Midgar that AVALANCHE makes its voice heard. Cloud Strife, a young mercenary who says he was part of Shinra's elite unit, the SOLDIER, has just joined the group. However, events that took place five years ago will begin to have serious repercussions on the future of the planet.
