Synopsis

Fire Hawk: Thexder - The Second Contact is the sequel to Thexder, an amazing game originally developed in Japan and later released in the United States.

Fire Hawk: Thexder is well known for its eleven tracks of game music, of a quality relatively unknown for video games released in the late 1990s.

The game consists of a player in the role of a robotic combat unit that transforms into a "Fire Hawk" space fighter depending on the current action. During combat, the player maneuvers the transforming robot which can levitate and float while shooting enemy objects, creatures, droids and robots to clear the room to continue. The robotic combat unit transforms into a "Fire Hawk" jet spaceship to move quickly and navigate tight connector tunnels.

Ultimately, the goal is to conquer the invading alien species by traveling through the catacombs to eliminate the alien enemies and disable the alien mothership. There are 9 different combat missions that must be completed to disable the mothership.
