Synopsis

In the fantasy world of Imagica, the evil wizard Wicked Wainwright has captured 4 elders, prompting Flink, a wizard's apprentice, to embark on a quest to rescue them and defeat the villain.

Beyond standard platforming, the game features Flink's unique spell-crafting system. During pauses, Flink combines 3 collected ingredients to cast 1 of 10 spells. These ingredients are dropped by enemies or found in chests, while the spell recipes come from scrolls obtained by rescuing elders or exploring levels.

Flink uses various spells for attacks, protection and exploration, such as summoning a demon companion, casting shields, shrinking or rapidly growing plants. These spells consume magic energy, which can be restored by collecting bottles or defeating enemies. Like in the Sonic games, getting hit drains Flink's magic entirely, giving him a short window to recover. If he is hit while empty, he loses a life.
