Synopsis

Football Champ, developed by Taito in 1990, is a football game with a deliberately exaggerated tone.
The player chooses one of the eight available national teams as well as a star player, and then faces the other nations in increasing order of difficulty.
The game has become famous for its permissive mechanics: violent blows, illegal tackles and other anti-sporting actions can be used as long as the referee does not see it.
The sanctions system is based on yellow and red cards, sometimes counted erratically.
The title also introduces a spectacular super shot, triggered at the end of the game when the team is led or tied, capable of sending the goalkeeper into the stands.
